Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (Xu Xiyuan) was laid to rest today (March 15) at Jinbao Mountain, with her family gathering in the rain to bid their final farewell.
Barbie Hsu passed away unexpectedly on February 2 in Japan due to complications from influenza at the age of 48.
Initially, Barbie had expressed her wish for a tree burial, wanting to return to nature.
However, her husband, South Korean DJ Koo Jun-yup, could not bear the thought of her ashes dispersing and longed for a place where he could visit her.
After discussing with the family, they decided to find a burial site, ultimately choosing Jinbao Mountain as her final resting place.
On the day of the funeral, heavy rain fell as her loved ones, including Koo Jun-yup, her mother Huang Chunmei, and her sister Dee Hsu, solemnly escorted Barbie Hsu to her final resting place.
Koo Jun-yup personally carried his wife’s ashes as they were interred, his sorrow evident throughout the ceremony.
Dee Hsu later addressed the media briefly, saying, 'Thank you for your concern.
Everything went smoothly and peacefully.

The farewell ceremony marks the end of an era for fans who adored Barbie Hsu.
