Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested 12 individuals, including key members of a major recruitment network, for allegedly introducing women to sex-related businesses.
The arrests include Takumi Kawanobe (27), a senior member of the group 'Access,' and Noriko Ikoma (32), who was responsible for managing operations.
Both have remained silent on the allegations.
According to authorities, 'Access' had multiple 'No.
2' leaders, and Kawanobe was one of them.
Ikoma, meanwhile, continued to instruct members to delete related data and evade law enforcement, even after the group's leader was arrested last November.
The crackdown on this large-scale operation highlights ongoing concerns over human trafficking and illegal recruitment within Japan's adult entertainment industry.
